State gets international tourism award

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Tourism’s sustainable and committed efforts in the field of tourism and efforts to attract tourists have again come in for praise from the international travel organisation — The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA). The State has been selected for two prestigious PATA Gold awards for 2007.

Aranmula heritage project in Pathanamthitta district has bagged the awards in the Culture section and the brochure on Thekkady got the award in the ‘Marketing media brochure’ section.
