KOCHI: Personnel of the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau conducted a surprise check at the Ernakulam General Hospital on Thursday, to probe allegations levelled against two doctors. A Vigilance official said the inspection was made based on a directive issued by the Vigilance Court. This followed a complaint filed before the court by Raveendran of Mookannur, Angamaly. The allegation was that one doctor was practising in a hospital at Perinthalmanna and the other doctor was residing in Alappuzha, both of which are against norms. The Vigilance team has obtained some documents and is checking the staff details and OP register. The official said that a Vigilance enquiry will be ordered, if any anomaly is found.
