THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Assembly adjourned sine die on Thursday after 23 sittings. The session was convened mainly for consideration of the demands for grants pertaining to the current year’s budget and the supplementary deman ds for grants. The House passed the demands and the respective appropriation bills before conclusion of the session. For the first time after 2004, it adopted an adjournment motion — for discussion of the monsoon-related calamities. The House passed three pieces of legislation, besides the Finance Bill and the appropriation bills. — Special Correspondent
