Tri-Services’ meet focuses on cooperation

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Tri-Services (east) annual conference held at the Eastern Naval Command here on Thursday focussed on fine tuning and strengthening the trilateral cooperation and coordination in various operational activities, joint exercises and training matters by underling the importance of jointmanship.

It also provided a platform for reviewing various operational and infrastructure facilities and their maximum utilisation in a joint manner, according to a Navy press release. The conference also discussed closer interaction in the field of sports, familiarisation visits for improving troop-to-troop contact and to underscore the necessity of jointmanship in many other areas. FOC-in-C of ENC Raman P. Suthan, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Eastern Command K.S. Jamwal and Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Eastern Air Command P.K. Barbora discussed issues during the conference.
