VIZIANAGARAM: Tirumalaraju Narasimha Murty Raju alias Krishna Murty Raju (60) of Chodavaram village was stabbed by robbers and decamped with nine tolas of gold ornaments, 1 kg silver articles and Rs. 35,000 cash in the wee hours on Friday. According to SDPO K.K. Achari, four robbers gained entry into the house of Mr.Raju by smashing the entrance door with boulders. Soon after entering the house they attacked Mr. Raju’s wife Bhavani and brother-in-law Dantuluri Venkatapathi Raju with sticks. When they raised an alarm Mr.Raju, who was sleeping upstairs, came to their rescue. He was stabbed in the stomach and hands. They were being treated in a private nursing home in Visakhapatnam. SP Vikram Singh Mann visited the scene of crime and appointed teams for investigation.
