Narrow win for Army Node ‘B’
VISAKHAPATNAM: Army Node ‘B’ prevailed over EME, Secunderabad 26-25 in a Pool ‘C’ match in the Smt. Mangi Narasamma memorial all-India invitation handball tournament for Wellfare rpt Wellfare Cup here on Friday.
The results:
Pool ‘A’: CRPF, Delhi (Vanjeev and Ramesh Chand 6 each) bt M.E.G., Bangalore 14 (Satish 3). Half time: 11-3. CRPF bt Karnataka Police 26-13 (16-6).
Pool ‘B’: AP Greens 26 (G. Venkatesh and Appa Rao 7 each, Raja Rao and Sandeep 3 each) bt AP Police 23 (Anwar 8, Satyanarayana 6). (15-11).
Pool ‘C’: Army Node “B” (26 (Ashok 7, Vinod Kumar 4) bt E.M.E., Secunderabad 25 (Devender Singh 8, Vishal 7). (12-13).
Pool ‘D’: Army Node ‘A’ 22 bt IAF 13.
