Stress on skill, attitude

TIRUCHI: Learning of knowledge, skill and attitude was stressed during the inaugural of first-year classes at MIET Polytechnic College recently.

Speaking on the occasion, V. Ananthakrishnan, General Manager, Manufacturing, BHEL, said that while acquisition of knowledge and skill were easy, imbibing the right attitude was difficult. Even students with high ranks failed in a work environment if they do not possess the right attitude, he said, observing that the lack of attitude was acutely felt in the IT industries. He urged the students to make the best use of books that were available to develop good attitude and team work.

Mohamed Yunus, Founder and Correspondent of the MIET Educational Institutions, advised the students to set a goal and work hard towards achieving it. He also stressed on time management. S. Mathiyazhagan, Principal, also spoke.
