Shah Rukh to star in Shankar’s ‘Robot’

Chennai: Remember the film ‘Robot’? Some years back vernacular magazines had predicted that it would be director Shankar’s dream sci-fi project with Kamal Hassan.
The official news now is that Shankar is going ahead with the project in Hindi with actor Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. In fact, news is that Shah Rukh will produce the film through his home production Red Chillies. The film will also be released in Tamil, Telugu and other languages.
Shankar’s last Hindi film was ‘Nayak’, starring Anil Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee. It was a remake of the Tamil hit ‘Muthalvan’, but the movie did not quite work the same magic on the Hindi audience as it did on the Tamil.
It remains to be seen how director Shankar will shape this film.
