CHENNAI: The Park Group of Educational Institutions has announced that it is setting up B-schools in Chennai and Coimbatore.

Announcing the group’s new venture, S. Ganesan, director and dean, Park Global School of Business Excellence, said the institution would offer a two-year Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) programme. “We will admit 60 students at each of the campuses.”

The institution has entered into an agreement with the University of Missouri - St. Louis in the United States.

The memorandum of understanding facilitates an arrangement in which about 12 students from the Chennai and Coimbatore campuses would be selected to pursue their second year of the management programme at the University of Missouri - St. Louis. These students’ certificates would be awarded by both institutions.

Mahesh Shankarmahesh, associate professor of marketing at the University of Missouri – St. Louis, said managing cultural differences was becoming increasingly important for managers. A feel of India’s fast developing and vibrant economy would help them immensely, and perhaps even help them find jobs here, he said.

Classes will commence this August. For details, long onto www.pgsbe.ac.in .
