Driver killed in car-bus smash

TIRUCHI: G. Murugesan (27) of Thuvarankurichi, a car driver, was killed in a road accident on the Tiruchi-Madurai National Highway on Saturday.

Police sources here said that he was returning to Thuvarankurichi driving the car when a Chennai-bound State Express Transport Corporation bus from Madurai collided head on with the vehicle killing him on the spot. The bus driver, G. Vadivel, has been cited as the accused. The police have registered a case.
