Woman electrocuted
An elderly woman died after a high-tension wire fell on her at her residence in Kukatpally Housing Board Colony on Saturday. The police said Y. Chandrakala (52) was standing near staircase when the wire snapped and fell on her resulting in serious burns. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.
Baby abandoned
Unidentified persons abandoned a newborn baby girl on the road near Ganesh temple at Prabhatnagar of Chaitanyapuri on Saturday. Passers-by spotted the baby and alerted the Saroornagar police who shifted the baby to Shishu Vihar.
Man killed
A 30-year-old man, who suffered grievous injuries after he was run over by an unidentified vehicle at Medchal check-post on July 18, died while under going treatment at the Gandhi hospital on Friday.
Pedestrian killed
Rash driving by a motorcyclist claimed the life of a man near his house at Kompally on Friday. E. Narasimha Raju (56) was crossing the road when the motorcyclist, who is absconding, rammed into him leading to severe injuries.
