J.K. Tripathy is Inspector-General of Police, Crime, Chennai.
CHENNAI: K. Vijaykumar, Project Officer for School of Excellence and S.I. Training Academy, Chennai, will be the State’s new Additional Director-General of Police, Law and Order. He will take over from K.V.S. Murthy, who is retiring on July 31 after putting in 31 years of service. Mr. Vijaykumar belongs to the 1975 batch of the IPS. The Government on Saturday also ordered the posting of J.K. Tripathy, hitherto Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Armed Police, Chennai, as Inspector-General of Police, Crime, Chennai. K.P. Maghendhran has been posted as IGP, Armed Police. Deepak M. Damor, Superintendent of Police (SP), Namakkal district, has been transferred as SP, Thoothukudi district, vice Y.John Nicholson who has been posted as Commandant, Tamil Nadu Special Police (TSP) XII Battalion, Coastal Security Group, Mandapam, Ramanathapuram district. C. Sridhar, SP, Tamil Nadu Commando Force, Chennai, will be the new SP, Tirunelveli district in place of N.K. Senthamaraikannan who has been posted as Commandant, TSP Battalion, Sundarampalli, Vellore district.
