Volunteers to be trained in social audit

VILLUPURAM: Two members of the National Rural Employment Guarantee Council, Jean Dreaz and Annie Raja, arrived here on Sunday to train the volunteers for social audit of the rural job guarantee programme. Addressing the gathering of about 300 volunteers, Mr. Dreaz said the social audit was meant for strengthening people’s participation in the implementation of the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and other developmental schemes.
