One held, tusks seized

ERODE: Sathyamangalam forest personnel on Friday arrested a person and recovered tusks weighing 20 kg. They were combing the Sikkahalli forest area when they noticed Nagan moving in a suspicious manner.

When questioned, he admitted that along with two others, he had removed the tusks of an elephant which was electrocuted at Iripuram village. — Staff Reporter
