Ameya Walavalkar wins senior title

Coimbatore: Championship leader Ameya Walavalkar of Mumbai dished out his best to pip favourite Aditya Patel of Chennai at the post for the senior title in the third round of the JK Tyre Rotax Mojo Max karting challenge at the Kari Motor Speedway in Chettipalayam, near here on Sunday.
The gruelling 25-lap race that lasted over 17 minutes had the fairly large crowd at the edge of their seats. Aditya squeezed every bit of his sweat to get past a fighting Walavalkar, who held his nerve for the title. Aditya’s younger brother Akshay Patel also came up with a decent show to finish for the third spot.
Vishnu Prasad and Shashank Ravi Shankar from Chennai did not have to sweat much to win the junior and mini-max titles.

Vishwanath steals show
T.K. Vishwanath, with two classic wins in the Group C two-stroke 110-150cc class, turned out to be the rider of the day in the third leg of the Ucal Rolon national racing championship for two wheelers held earlier in the day.
Ashwin struck to his winning ways in the Group D four-stroke 80-125cc class, while Mr. Consistent R. Deepak stole the limelight in the 125-160cc class.
