WARANGAL: Human Rights Forum leader K. Balagopal was arrested by the police here on Sunday and was later released on a personal bond. Mr. Balagopal was arrested in connection with the killing of a sub-inspector of Police, Mr Yadagiri Reddy by the naxalites on September 2, 1985. The police officer was killed from very close distance at Kazipet railway station when he went there to send his wife off. The police registered cases against 14 persons. Mr Balagopal was one among them. The court issued a non-bailable warrant against him in the year 2000. Mr Balagopal was taken into custody by the police when Mr Balagopal came here to attend a meeting at Zilla Parishad hall.
