Bachchan family worships at Srisailam temple

Star devotees: The family of Amitabh Bachchan at Srisailam on Sunday.
KURNOOL: The family of Amitabh Bachchan and their close friend and Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh offered prayers at the Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple in Srisailam on Sunday.
Mr. Bachchan accompanied by his wife Jaya Bachchan, son Abhishek Bachchan, daughter-in-law Aishwarya, Amar Singh and his wife spent nearly an hour at the temple.
They participated in the ‘Rudrabhisekham’ at Jyothirlingam and ‘kumkumarchana’ performed at Sri Bhramarambika Devi temple.
Proposal
After the rituals, Vedic scholars blessed the couples. Temple Executive Officer Harijawahar Lal who accompanied them presented a memento before they left the premises. He presented a proposal seeking a donation of Rs. 1 crore for gold-plating of the temple’s ‘dhwaja sthambham’.
After the Bachchans requested the temple authorities for a specific proposal, the Executive Officer gave the detailed proposal.
The Bachchans though did not promise anything immediately but later they appeared to be positive about making a donation to the temple.
