Chittoor wins title
HYDERABAD: Chittoor defeated East Godavari 3-0 in the final of the inter-district girls’ hockey championship in Tirupati.
Jyotsna, Rajani and Varalaxmi scored for the winners.
SAAP XI wins
Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh XI scored a 51-run win over TV 9 XI in a friendly cricket match here.
The scores: SAAP XI 186 for six (Uma Shanker 63) bt TV 9 XI 135 for eight (Ajay 51 not out, R. Janardhan Reddy four for 15).
CCOB Seniors triumph
HYDERABAD: The City College Old Boys Seniors scored a 3-2 win over Khursheed Jah in the final of the Salar-e-Millat Challenge Cup prize money football tournament here.
Easy for HSBC
HYDERABAD: HSBC recorded a six-wicket win over Youth Cricket Club in the Friendship Monsoon Cup cricket tournament here.
The scores: Youth CC 110 for nine lost to HSBC 111 for four (Neeraj 43, Banga 42).
Siemens 84 lost to Vikas Plywood 88 for two (Rohit Gupta 49).
GHMC carrom
HYDERABAD: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation will organise the annual open ranking carrom championship from August 6 to 10 at the Victory Playground.
Entries may be sent to S. Madan Raj, Secretary, Hyderabad Carrom Association or to the venue by August 4.

The scores: Tirumala EC 99 for three (Raja 31) bt Nalla Malla Reddy EC 72 for nine (Swaraj five for 15).
Sri Datta EC 82 for four (Sai 31 not out) lost to Ameena Institute of Technology 83 for three.
