The report called for entrusting e-governance responsibilities to some officials in each department to post update information on sanction of funds and implementation of schemes. Under the World Bank aid, the Public Works Department had established a “Road Information System”. But due to some reasons, the project had stopped functioning, it noted. It suggested to all departments to regularly post on their websites all rules and regulations, circulars, orders without fail. To create awareness among the public about the availability of e-governance facility, it suggested each department to issue advertisements in newspapers.
