Nippon Toyota bags championship

Kochi: Nippon Toyota, Toyota dealer for south and central Kerala, has won the gold and silver medals in the sixth Toyota national skills championship held at Bangalore. Abdul Latheef from Kochi and A.J. Abilash from Thiruvananthapuram won the gold and silver medals respectively in the ‘body’ category in a contest where technicians from dealerships across the country participated.

Tata Indicom has 18 m subscribers

Kochi: Wireless mobile service provider Tata Indicom has crossed the milestone of 18 million subscribers, says a release. The service has registered a compounded annual growth rate of 112 per cent. It added close to 7.6 million subscribers in the last fiscal, resulting in a year-on-year increase of 86 per cent in its total subscriber base, highest in the industry.

SRMB announces expansion plans

Kochi: SRMB Udyog, the first TMT bar manufacturer in secondary steel sector, has announced its market expansion in Kerala. M.M. Abraham, vice-president said the company planned to foray into the retail sector with exclusive steel shops. It had appointed cricketer Kapil Dev as brand ambassador.
