Boy drowned

A two-and-half year old boy got drowned in an overhead water tank in his house at Sultan Shahi in Chatrinaka on Tuesday.

The police said Kiran Sarja, son of Ravinder Singh, had gone to the terrace to take his bicycle kept atop the tank. But he accidentally slipped and fell into it.

Auto driver killed

An autorickshaw driver was killed after the vehicle he was driving was run over by an MMTS train at Khairatabad railway gate on Wednesday.

Mohammed Sharif (52), a resident of Aliabad, was crossing the gate when the incident occurred, according to the police.

Labourer kills self

An agricultural labourer, who attempted suicide by setting himself ablaze at his house at Kothwalguda in Shamshabad on Monday, died while undergoing treatment at Osmania General Hospital on Tuesday. Pentaiah (35) killed himself after his wife deserted him following a quarrel.
