Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Wednesday granted bail to the People’s Democratic party (PDP) leader Abdul Nasir Maudhany in a case registered in 1992 on charges of attacking the police and destroying public property during a hartal called by his party in Kollam. Justice R. Basant ordered that he be released on bail on his executing a bond for Rs. 25,000 with two solvent sureties to the like sum. However, the court directed that he appear in person before the Assistant Sessions Judge, Kollam, on all future dates of postings unless his absence was condoned by the judge.
