Prizes for top scorers in Government schools

Sangareddy: A committee consisting of senior assistants working at the district education department announced prizes for students of Government schools who secured highest marks in SSC exams. The department felt thas the students could also achieve better results if encouraged by parents and teaching staff. D. Ramya Krishna (553 marks) of Chinnakodur Zilla Parishat High School, G. Kedar Nath (551) of Digwal ZP High School, N. Suresh of Andole and V. Sravani of Siddipet who secured 549 were short-listed for these awards. The committee decided to award Rs. 3, 000 for the highest score, Rs. 2, 000 for the second highest and Rs. 1, 500 for the third. Parents and teachers from respective schools would be felicitated at the DEO’s office here on Thursday.
