Airlines employee found dead

An Indian Airlines employee, R. M. Naidu, was found dead in his house at Bhramanawadi in Begumpet on Tuesday. The incident came to light when residents’ complained of foul smell emanating from Naidu’s flat and alerted the police. The police broke open the main door and found 50-year-old- Naidu dead. His wife and children had deserted him a year ago, according to the police.

Tiff leads to farmer’s death

A dispute over taking ownership of a neem tree in a field led to the death of a farmer at Chinthapatla village in Ranga Reddy district on Tuesday. K. Mahipal Reddy (48) was allegedly beaten to death by his brother’s sons -- K. Narsi Reddy and Sekhar -- following a quarrel over the issue. Narsi Reddy and Sekhar were taken into custody, the police said.

Pedestrian killed in accident

A pedestrian, who suffered grievous injuries after he was run over by a car at Uppal bus top on Saturday, died while undergoing treatment in a corporate hospital on Tuesday.

The police said B. Laxmi Narasaiah (50), a native of Nalgonda district, was crossing the road when the accident occurred. He had come to meet his daughter in Uppal.
