Industrialist, wife dead

KOCHI: Dominic Joseph Kuruvinakunnel, 86, founder chairman of cgh earth (formerly Casino Group of Hotels), and his wife, Thankamma Dominic, 80, died at 8.25 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. on Monday. Hailing from the Kuruvinakunnel family, who were traditionally planters from Edamuttom in Pala, Dominic Joseph started the Casino Hotel at Willingdon Island here in 1957.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2.30 p.m. at Kuruvinakkunnel House, Thevara, followed by burial of Thankamma Dominic and cremation of Dominic Joseph.
