Flood water recedes

The discharge of floodwater in the Krishna River at Prakasam Barrage receded marginally leading to the withdrawal of the first warning.

Irrigation authorities had to bring down 55 of the crest gates to eight-foot mark and the remaining 15 gates to seven ft to maintain the water level at the regular 12 feet.
