KOLKATA: Mohammedan Sporting scored its first win of the season, beating Calcutta Port Trust (CPT) 4-2, in a premier division encounter of the Calcutta Football League at its home ground here on Monday. Captain Raman Vijayan stood out by scoring twice in the second session. The first session had ended 1-1 with Basudev Mondal opening the scoring for Sporting and Souvick Biswas equalising for CPT. Sporting came back strongly and found the lead again in the 56th minute through Vijayan, who had come in as a 33rd minute substitute. Sporting made it 3-1 through K. Kulothungan (63rd minute). Vijayan struck his second goal in the 78th minute. CPT pulled one back in the 88th minute through its African forward Chukwukere Henry. — Principal Correspondent
