CII organises tour for industrialists

Staff Reporter

TIRUCHI: To provide companies here an opportunity to examine and learn from business excellence models in the field of human resources and benchmark best practices, the Confederation of Indian Industry, Tiruchi Zone, has organised a visit to Infosys (Bangalore) and Titan Industries (Hosur) for 30 industrialists on August 29.

The visit is expected to reinforce the need for an organisation to be flexible and open to the dynamically changing environment and adopt ideal management practices , said S. Venkataraman, head, Tiruchi Zone.

While Infosys would provide solution to a dynamic environment, where business and technology strategies converge, Titan Industries (Watches Division) would help the visitors gain a better understanding of human resources practices against the backdrop of business diversification.

A similar visit would be organised to TATA Motors in Pune next month. Another visit would be organised to learn about best safety practices in December.

Last month, the CII took a team of 40 industrialists to TVS Motors and Ashok Leyland in Hosur.

Last year, seven such visits were organised, Mr. Venkataraman said.
