The Mayor said the proposal was being accorded top priority
CHENNAI: The proposal to construct a bridge across the narrow street between Rajaji Block and TTK Block of Public Health Centre in West Mambalam is being processed, said Mayor M. Subramanian here on Sunday. The proposal was being accorded top priority, he said. The civic body would look into the issue of exemption of property tax and waiver for the BVSN Centre for Special Children. The Mayor, who commissioned dialysis equipment worth Rs. 6.40 lakh at the Dialysis Department of Public Health Centre, handed over four monitors for the intensive medical care unit, valued at Rs. 1.40 lakh. He lauded the hospital’s effort in providing treatment at affordable cost. Well-wishers of the centre and councillor and chairman of standing committee, R. Prakash, spoke. The Centre’s secretary G. Thothathri said the centre was run purely on funds received from philanthropists.
