BERHAMPUR: Corporate houses active in the State have come out to provide polythene sheets for flood relief work in Orissa. According to sources at the Special Relief Commissioner’s (SRC) office around 150 tons of polythene sheets have been provided recently by the Vedanta and Tata groups for flood relief work. Around 11,000 polythene sheets meant for flood relief were provided by the Tatas in Balasore district. The Vedanta group has provided 5640 polythene sheets to the SRC for distribution. Polythene sheets are in large demand during the relief work as they are used to build up tents.
