CPI(M) activists occupy land in second phase

MAHABUBNAGAR: In continuation of their struggle for house sites, the activists of CPI (M) in the second phase on Wednesday occupied some land near Erramannu Ghutta under Bandamedipally Grampanchayat limits on the outskirts of Mahabubnagar town.

The activists led by CPI (M) leaders Kurumanna, Vijay and others have erected some 200 huts in survey No.921. However Police personnel led by Town CI Muthaiah and Rural CI Muni Rajulu removed the huts.

Heated arguments between the police and leaders of CPI (M) ensued following the removal of huts by police.
