East Bengal posts win

KOLKATA: Defending champion Kingfisher East Bengal got back to winning ways as it downed George Telegraph SC by a solitary goal in a premier division match of the Calcutta Football League on Wednesday.

Forward Ashim Biswas netted the only goal of the match off a Dipankar Roy free kick.

East Bengal now has 15 points from six matches and remains behind Mohun Bagan, which is currently leading the league table with 16 points. — Principal Correspondent
