SP warns of stringent action against those indulging in the act
Kakinada: The Superintendent of Police Battina Srinivasulu has asked all the college principals to form anti-ragging committees in their institutions involving the students, parents and police so that the evil of ragging could be eradicated. Addressing the principals of medical and engineering colleges here on Thursday, he advised them to hold anti-ragging meetings regularly for every fortnight and in every college assembly the ragging and its repercussions should be explained to the students. The SP also wanted them to organise freshers day and arrange interaction between the seniors and juniors so that amicable atmosphere could be created. Cautioning that police would come down heavily on those indulging in ragging, the SP has explained them on the nature of cases to be booked by power point presentation. The SP has handed over the posters brought out on anti-ragging to the principals for displaying at the respective colleges. Additional SP and others attended.
