Businessman commits suicide

A real-estate businessman allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison at his office at M. K. Pally in Moinabad on Thursday.

The police said Mir Akbar Ali, 56, a resident of Tolichowki, took the drastic step as he suffered losses in business.

A 26-year-old man died after he was run over by a train near Kacheguda railway station on Thursday.

The railway police said the man, who is yet to be identified, was clad in white T-shirt and black trouser.

The body was preserved at Osmania General Hospital mortuary for identification and autopsy.

A housewife hanged herself to death at her house at Akbarbagh on Wednesday.

K. Gayatri, 42, ended her life following alleged harassment by her husband, Narasimha Rao, over family matters, the police said.
