VISAKHAPATNAM: Students and research scholars of Andhra University Department of Commerce and Management Studies had a lively interactive session with Andhra Bank Chairman and Managing Director K. Ramakrishnan on Saturday. Dr. Ramakrishnan, appointed honorary professor in the department for five years, spoke on dimensions in customer service industry. Stating that customer service was a key area for banking, hospital and hotel industries, he said the employees should be pro-active so as to serve beyond the expectation of their clientele. Soundness of technical and advisory aspects and an orientation towards customised products and ethics was required. Later, the Vice-Chancellor felicitated Dr. Ramakrishnan. Art and Commerce College Principal J.V. Prabhakara Rao and head of the department D. Prabhakara Rao spoke.
