MAHABUBNAGAR: In a major breakthrough, the Mahabubnagar police have unearthed a dump allegedly belonging to the CPI Maoists and recovered a huge haul of sophisticated ammunition and weapons in Nallamala forest area under Amrabad police station limits. The weapons were displayed at a press conference here on Wednesday. This is the second recovery of arms by the police in a month which is a big blow to the Maoists. Four camera flash, two gas cutters, one microphone, 44 ammonium nitrate slurry, 30-metre safety fuse wire, a hexablade, telescope, stethoscope, rocket stands, 6v battery pack and some literature are among the other materials.
