Manmohan visiting Maharashtra

MUMBAI: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will review the growth of agriculture in Maharashtra during his visit to the State on Friday. He will also take stock of the special rehabilitation package announced for Vidharbha farmers last year.
Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh will brief him on the agricultural scenario. Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister R.R. Patil, and the Vice-Chancellors of four agricultural universities will be present at the meeting, according to an official statement.
Dr. Singh will visit the Tarapur Atomic Power Station to dedicate to the nation units 3 and 4 of 1,080 MW.
