VMC plans worry taxpayers

The Tax Payers’ Association on Thursday expressed concern over the reported plans of the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation to handover public places to private firms in the name of lease.

President and secretary of the association V. Sambi Reddy and M.V. Anjaneyulu respectively, alleged that the corporation was planning to construct complexes with private participation on Besant Road by demolishing a few structures like VHR Complex, Govindarajulu complex and Ansari Park.
