Officials told to supply quality pesticides

ADILABAD: Adilabad Collector Ahmad Nadeem on Thursday asked the Agriculture department officials to ensure supply of quality pesticides and other inputs by increasing quality checks. He expressed dissatisfaction over just 120 samples of pesticides being checked so far for quality.

Reviewing the agriculture position in the district with officials of Agriculture department, the Collector asked them to verify the complaints by farmers that the banks were not advancing crop loans to them. He said if need arose, the officials could talk to the bankers concerned on the issue.-Staff Reporter
