HYDERABAD: Strategy of the terrorists to frequently change names of their operatives for different operations has become a stumbling block for the police to track down the culprits. A person working for terrorist outfit might perform different ‘tasks’ assigned to him. The ‘assignments’ could be carrying a bag from one place to other without knowing if explosives are kept inside or providing shelter to another operative. The same person would claim he is Hamza while carrying out one task and Ali for the other. Sattar, an alleged agent of a terrorist outfit who was caught while crossing over from Bangladesh to India, gave some names to whom high explosives were reportedly supplied by his mentors. He revealed these details during narco analysis test. “Through Sattar we got some definite clues in this angle. But the strategy of terrorists to change names for different works is making it difficult for us to narrow down on them,” a top police officer said.
