Boy tied to a horse, dragged

Jalandhar: Chasing away a stray horse proved costly for Etwari Lal, a 10-year-old boy, here. He was was tied to it and dragged for 15 minutes.

The ordeal ended only when the injured boy shrieked in pain and his parents raised an alarm.

The incident took place on Monday when Lal, along with his parents, was guarding the field of his landlord. The horse belonging to a member of the Gujjar community entered it for grazing.

Lal chased the horse, following which its owners tied him to the animal and dragged him. The boy was taken to hospital and a complaint lodged with the police, SHO Sakkatar Singh said. — PTI
