Parida shifted in IAS officers’ reshuffle

State Government transfers 22 top level officers

HYDERABAD: As many as 22 IAS officers, including the Principal Secretary, Housing, A. K. Parida, were transferred by the State Government on Tuesday in a reshuffle at the top level of the bureaucracy.

Mr. Parida has been sent back to his earlier post of Director-General of Marri Chenna Reddy Human Resources Development Institute following the uneasy equation he reportedly had with Housing Minister Botcha Satyanarayana at a time when the Congress Government’s prestigious Indiramma housing programme has reached a crucial stage. He will be replaced by M. V. P. C. Sastry.

D. Sambasiva Rao has been appointed as Special Commissioner in the office of Chief Commissioner Land Administration (CCLA) to oversee implementation of Koneru Ranga Rao land committee’s recommendations. Benhur Mahesh Dutta Eakka has been posted as Secretary to CCLA. R. Subba Rao, Director, Appeals, CCLA office, has been posted as Secretary, State SC/ST Commission.

Special Chief Secretary

Another senior IAS officer, V. P. Jauhari, has been posted as Special Chief Secretary, Panchayat Raj & Rural Development and G. Sudhir as Principal Secretary, Tourism, Youth Advancement, Tourism & Culture.

Pankaj Dwivedi, who is now Director-General, MCR HRD Institute, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Cooperation & Marketing.

Transport Commissioner Ajay Mishra has been shifted to the post of Secretary, Rural Water Supply.

Ms. Poonam Malakondaiah is the new Transport Commissioner.

The Government has replaced the Managing Director of Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) D. Murali Mohan with Mr. Vikas Raj.

The other officers with their new postings are: M. Chaya Ratan (Principal Secretary, Women Development & Child Welfare), Ms Vasudha Mishra ( Secretary, Finance), Debabratha Kanta (Secretary, Minorities Welfare), Chitra Ramachandran (Secretary, Transport, Roads & Buildings), Bhanwarlal (Secretary, Labour, Employment & Training),

Naresh Penumaka (Additional secretary, Finance), Rajat Kumar (Managing Director, APCO), R. S. Goel (Principal Secretary, Rain Shadow Area Development), and N. Sivashankar (Secretary to Commissioner, Commercial Taxes).
