VIZIANAGARAM: Minister for Housing Botsa Satyanarayana has said that the government will launch a special scheme – ‘paripoorna arthika chekoorpu’-- for women this month-end. Some 235 villages at an estimated amount of Rs. 60 crores will get the benefit. Chanduluru village in L.Kota mandal, is one among them. It will be implemented in Chanduluru after a survey is completed by November. The minister was speaking at ‘Intinta Indiramma Sambaralu’ meeting at Chanduluru on Wednesday. He said that women groups which had borrowed loans from private money lenders at high rate of interest would be tied up with a bank. The bank would after clearing their debts give them loans at ‘pavala vaddi’, he said. The minister said under rural employment guarantee scheme CC roads with an estimated sum of Rs. 5 lakhs would be laid in each village. Community hall
Earlier, he laid the foundation stone for a community hall and unveiled statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Desapatrunipalem in Kothavalasa mandal and participated in Indiramma Sambaralu at Chinnapalem village in the same mandal. The Minister inspected the thatched hut of Vana Kanakamahalakshmi, a beneficiary, under Indiramma housing programme and got it documented before issuing a possession certificate to her. The Minister said that the government was committed to providing houses to all. He also sanctioned a borewell for SC Colony where 25 houses were sanctioned. Uttarapalli MLA Pudi Mangapathi Rao and others participated in the programme.
