NEW DELHI: National Safai Karamcharis Finance and Development Corporation, a social sector company under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, has bagged the SCOPE meritorious award for best managed public sector enterprise for 2005-06. NSKFDC Managing Director Lalit Kohli received the award from Minister for Heavy Industries Santosh Mohan Dev here on Wednesday.
An apex corporation for all round socio-economic uplift of conservancy workers and their dependents throughout the country, NSKFDC provides loans at concessional rates of interest for income generating activities and grant for development of entrepreneurial skills.
It is making efforts to make conservancy workers break away from traditional occupation.
