VIZIANAGARAM: All arrangements have been made for immunising over 2.63 lakh children in the age group of 0-5 years in the district on Sunday. Some 3.40 lakh doses have been kept ready at 1,600 booths, according to District Medical and Health Officer V. Venkatesawara Rao. Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Dr. Venkateswara Rao said the house-to-house immunisation activity would continue for another two days on September 10 and 11.He said 2,150 teams besides 66 mobile and 25 transit teams had been deployed for the sub-national polio immunisation programme. He said the programme was being organised following detection of five polio cases -- one in Visakhapatnam, three in East Godavari and one in Nalgonda.
