Doctors warned

Thiruvananthapuram: The Government has warned 40 of the 190 doctors who have successfully completed the postgraduate programme in Government medical colleges this year for not coming forward to do the mandatory Government service for five years.

An official press note said here on Tuesday that if they did not report for work within five days, steps would be taken to realise an amount of Rs. 16,40,000, which included a compensation amount and the stipend.
