NHRC notice to Chief Secretary

VIZIANAGARAM: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) issued a notice to the Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh calling for a report within four weeks from the date of receipt of notice in respect of students’ deaths in ashram/tribal welfare hostels in the Agency, particularly six deaths this year.

This was based on a complaint by D.V.G. Sankara Rao, a medical practitioner and former member of the Lok Sabha.
