Chairperson of Waqf Board dismissed

DEHRA DUN: The Uttarakhand Government has dismissed Choudhary R. Ahmed, chairperson of the State Waqf Board for alleged administrative and financial irregularities. The action was taken after a high level probe, official sources said.

‘Political vendetta by BJP’

Mr. Ahmed described the action as political vendetta by the Bharatiya Janata Party led Government.

The Congress spokesperson, Surendra Kumar however refused to comment on the issue as the party was studying the dismissal document.
