He addresses gram sabha as part of ‘Intinta Indiramma’ Lays stone for housing colony in the village ROTIGUDEM (ADILABAD DT.): Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Wednesday said the Government was committed to provide houses to all eligible persons irrespective of their party affiliations at local level concerned. He said the Government was not inclined to discriminate against activists of TDP in allotment of houses under the Indiramma scheme thereby brushing aside the aleegation to this effect. Addressing a meeting here as part of his tour regarding Intinta Indiramma, he also relaxed rules to the make of roof over Indiramma houses. Assurance givenMr. Rajasekhara Reddy gave assurance of sanctioning a Rs. 70 crore worth work for lining of canal under the Kadem project. Dr. Reddy laid a foundation stone for a Rs. 5 crore canal modernisation work under the Kadem Narayan Reddy project, inaugurated the grama samakhya building and laid another foundation stone for a Rs. 39 lakh drinking water scheme. In response to a demand for a junior college at Jannaram, he said an ITI would be sanctioned soon. R&B Minister and district in charge T. Rajasekhara Reddy said here on Wednesday that the Dummugudem and Indira Sagar projects on which the people of the region pinned their hopes would be completed in the next three years. Addressing a gram sabha as part of the ‘Intinta Indiramma’ programme here, he said that the Dummugudem lift scheme, which was expected to extend irrigation facilities to over 2.5 lakh acres, would change the face of the upland areas in the district. He said that the Government had taken up the programme with a view to providing houses to all the poor and the needy. He laid the stone for the housing colony in the village.
