“In areas where disposal of solid waste has become problematic, small vendors should be encouraged to collect, segregate and recycle domestic waste, like small metal bits, plastic and iron scrap. The entire process of collection and segregation of bio-degradable waste generated from hotels could be outsourced by the GMC and local associations should be encouraged to start vermi-compost units in their neighbourhood.”
